when are we going to toss out this outdated tradition anyway??

guess who’s been waking up at 5:30 for most of this and last week thanks to daylight savings? rock. on. i guess it’s payback for the last year or 18 months of so of waking up between 6:30-7:15. he hasn’t been up this early since he was a wee, wee gus. it’s really annoying. we ignore him until a little after 6, but then he just can’t sit still anymore. thankfully we figured out that his bedtime needs to be a little earlier too, so he sleeps a solid 8 hour stretch, one wake up, and then another 1-1.5 h after that. that significantly helps with my ability to deal with dragging my ass out of bed at 6:15 or so. but i’m so beat at the end of the day that it is work to stay up until 9:30, which i only did last night to watch some steelers. and i missed all the excitement anyway. oh well.

at least it means we’ve been getting out the door (not so bright but) early this past few lovely warm days to enjoy as much of this weather as possible.

although THAT also means that i totally forgot to take a whole bunch of our library books back yesterday. argh! not only have i lost our library card for THE THIRD TIME, i also a buck or two in fines.

ah our lives are such a wild ride up here in new england.
